Wall System 2 is a slim soundproofing solution that reduces noise against airborne sounds through solid party walls. The combination of materials in this kit allows you to increase the sound absorption of party walls, restoring peace in your home. Wall System 2 is our thinnest combination of soundproofing materials. It will ensure good sound insulation on party walls without compromising the living space in your home. It is an excellent choice for use in rooms that require sound insulation but need to retain as much space as possible.

Wall System 2 is a soundproof system that combines products with high mass/density and excellent sound absorption. This system includes acoustic insulation slabs and the 18mm Noisestop 1 Plus Panel. This panel features a 10kg mass-loaded vinyl acoustic membrane pre-bonded to the acoustic plasterboard. Additionally, the systems include acoustic sealant tubes to ensure effective acoustic sealing of the boards.

• Noisestop 1 Plus Panel 18mm –  12.5mm soundboard laminated with 10kg mass-loaded vinyl 1200mm x 1200mm (1.44sqm)

Note: Every 10 decibels(dB) reduction in noise level is roughly perceived as a halving of the perceived loudness. So, for instance, if you have a sound that measures 70dB and it decreases to 60dB, it would sound about half as loud to the human ear.

• If a stud frame is not already in place, install one. The stud cavity must be at least 25mm deep to accommodate the acoustic insulation. The frame can be installed directly on the party wall to reduce space loss.
• Space studs at 600mm centres to ensure you catch the edge of the 1200mm x 1200mm Noisestop 1 plus Panel.
• Fill inside the cavity between each stud with the 25mm DFM acoustic insulation slabs. Ensure the slabs are packed tightly between the studs.
• Attach the Noisestop 1 Plus Panel to the stud frame with 25mm self-drill drywall screws. The boards should butt together. Use acoustic sealant between the edges of the panels to form an airtight seal. Leave a 2-3mm gap around the wall’s perimeter to avoid noise transfer. Apply a bead of acoustic sealant around the perimeter of the wall.
• Finish the wall as you would standard plasterboard, either plaster skim, tape and fill the tapered edge, paint or wallpaper.
• If you are reinstating electrical outlets, use acoustic putty pads inside the back boxes.

Performance Data

Due to the nature of most of the materials we supply, orders are typically delivered on pallets.

All orders will be wrapped, protected, and secured to the pallet to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. Goods will be delivered as near to the property as possible. The drivers will not be able to carry orders into your property.

Deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Once an order has been placed, you will be notified of the expected delivery date. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the delivery.

We charge a flat delivery rate of £60 plus VAT for palletised deliveries. We do not charge per pallet, no matter how many pallets are used to deliver your order.

Orders placed for items weighing less than 20kg will be sent via courier for £20 plus VAT.

We have a high stock level and typically deliver orders in approximately three to four working days.
