Our most effective direct-to-wall soundproofing solution, the AcoustiClip Direct System, fits straight to the wall without needing an additional stud frame. With an impressive noise reduction level of 63dB when applied to a brick wall, this solution is suitable for homeowners with noisy neighbours who must keep space loss to a minimum.

All AcoustiClip soundproof systems combine products with high mass, excellent sound absorption, and the decoupling effect of the AcoustiClip. The acoustic kits include the AcoustiClip and AcoustiChannel, acoustic insulation slabs, two layers of soundproof panels, a 15mm soundproof plasterboard, denser than standard board, and the 18mm Noisestop 1 Plus Panel. This panel features a 10kg mass-loaded vinyl acoustic membrane pre-bonded to the acoustic plasterboard. Additionally, the systems include acoustic sealant tubes to ensure effective acoustic sealing of the boards.

Note: Every 10 decibels(dB) reduction in noise level is roughly perceived as a halving of the perceived loudness. For instance, if a sound measures 70dB and decreases to 60dB, it would sound about half as loud to the human ear. Decibels explained.

• Screw the AcoustiClip directly onto the masonry or brick wall, and use the AcoustiClip Fixing Kit for masonry and brick walls. Space the clips vertically at 600mm centres with a row of clips 100 mm from the bottom of the wall and 150mm from the ceiling. The clips should be no more than 1200mm apart horizontally (see the diagram below).
• Clip the AcoustiChannel into the clips, join the lengths of the channel by overlapping them by 100mm and screwing them together with self-tapping or drywall screws.
• Infill the cavity with 25mm DFM acoustic insulation between the AcoustiChannel.
• Using 25mm drywall screws, attach the first layer of the 15mm acoustic plasterboard. Leave a 2-3mm gap around the wall’s perimeter to reduce noise transfer into the adjoining walls, ceilings and floors.
• Using 50mm drywall screws, attach the Noisestop 1+ Panel over the first layer sandwiching the acoustic membrane between the boards. Leave a 2-3mm gap around the wall’s perimeter to reduce noise transfer into the adjoining walls, ceilings and floors.
• Acoustic sealant is applied around the edge of each panel and the perimeter of the wall to ensure an airtight seal.
• If you are reinstating electrical outlets, use acoustic putty pads inside the back boxes.

Spacing AcoustiClips

Horizontally – Fix an AcoustiClip at the start and end of each row. AcoustiClips are spaced at a maximum of 1200mm centres along the AcoustiChannel.

Vertically – AcoustiClips are fitted a maximum of 600mm horizontally, 100mm from the floor and 150mm from the ceiling.

System Quantities

Due to the nature of most of the materials we supply, orders are typically delivered on pallets.

All orders will be wrapped, protected, and secured to the pallet to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. Goods will be delivered as near to the property as possible. The drivers will not be able to carry orders into your property.

Deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Once an order has been placed, you will be notified of the expected delivery date. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the delivery.

We charge a flat delivery rate of £60 plus VAT for palletised deliveries. We do not charge per pallet, no matter how many pallets are used to deliver your order.

Orders placed for items weighing less than 20kg will be sent via courier for £20 plus VAT.

We have a high stock level and typically deliver orders in approximately three to four working days.
